Solved exercise - Quadratic equation

Quadratic equation of the form:

x represents unknown, and a, b, and c represent known numbers such that a is not equal to 0. If a = 0, then the equation is linear, not quadratic
Quadratic equation has two roots (solutions):

Example:
Given the Quadratic equation 
 In this equation a = 1 , b= 9, c = 18
 The roots are: 
Check:

Check for - x1 = -3


Check - x2 = -6
